Tumalog Falls: A quick side trip

8:59 AM

Cebu is a fascinating place jam-packed with multiple astonishing views of natural treasures. One of these treasures is the Tumalog Falls.

After our quick dip with the butandings/whale sharks, Mark and I decided to take a side trip going to Tumalog. From Oslob, we hopped on to a motorcycle or we call  "habal-habal" which is available outside MB’s Sunrise View Resort. We negotiated the price and it was a pretty good deal since the driver waited for us there and became our personal photographer. It took us less than 20 minutes to reach the falls. For only 300php roundtrip (2 pax), we had the chance to chase another spectacular view of the waterfall.

We started our segment of adventure by filling our eyes with the vast scenic views we encountered along the way. From the top of the mountain, you can see the overlooking view of the horizon where the sea and sky separates. It was breathtaking.

When we reached the place, we took another designated habal-habal going down to the waterfall area and paid 50php per way. Technically, you can walk back and forth since it's paved but I highly suggest to take a "habal-habal"  because the road is very steep. The entrance to the falls is 20php per person.

As we jump-off from the "habal-habal", we were very astonished because of the magnificent view of the waterfalls. It is drizzling onto the rocks. The water wasn't very deep (5ft) and was extremely cold that so we couldn't swim very long. It was an incredible experience and the side trip was all worth it.

Be with someone who chases waterfalls with you
